WHAT TO WEAR

One of the most common questions from new clients is about what to wear to an Exercise Physiology appointment.

During your first session with an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) in clinic or online, they will undertake a comprehensive assessment in order to develop an exercise plan based on your unique requirements. The early part of the assessment is largely conversation based with questions about your health and history.

To ensure that you are comfortable when you to get moving for the assessment and any exercise prescription, we always say wear loose comfortable clothing as you may be asked to do a range of movements. Footwear is also important and we ask that you wear shoes that you feel most comfortable exercising in, however as our clinic consultations are in a gym environment they must not have an open toe ie sandals.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Referral: Only if you have been referred by a health professional. While you don’t need a referral to book an appointment, you may find it beneficial to consult with your GP in order to discuss funding options. As you may be eligible for Medicare, NDIS, Worksafe or TAC.

  • Water bottle : While all of our locations have water stations, it’s recommended that you bring a water bottle to your consultations to ensure that you stay hydrated.

  • Medication: If you have any medication that you are required to carry for medical purposes such as an asthma puffer or nitroglycerin spray, you must bring this to your appointment and have it easily accessible at all times

  • Medicare Card, Health Insurance Card: We can process rebates on the spot at our clinics
