Everything you need to know before your first session at Lifestyle & Health Co.

Starting something new can bring up questions. This quick guide covers exactly what to wear and what to bring, so you can walk into your appointment prepared and confident.

What to Wear

Your first session will involve both a discussion and some light movement. To get the most out of it:

  • Wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing – something you can move easily in. Activewear is ideal, but not required.

  • Closed shoes only – our consultations take place in gym environments, so enclosed footwear like sneakers is a must. No sandals, slides, or open-toe shoes.

There’s no dress code – just wear what makes you feel ready to move.

What to Bring

These essentials help us deliver the best care and keep your session running smoothly:

  • Referral (if you have one): You don’t need a referral to book, but if your GP or specialist has given you one, bring it along – especially if you're using Medicare, NDIS, TAC, or WorkSafe.

  • Water bottle: We have water stations on site, but it’s best to bring your own bottle to stay hydrated during your session.

  • Any required medication: If you use an asthma puffer, GTN spray, or other medication that may be needed during exercise, make sure it’s with you and easily accessible.

  • Medicare or Private Health Card: If you're eligible for a rebate, we can process it on the spot using our HICAPS terminal.

Final Tip

You don’t need to have it all figured out before you arrive. Your practitioner will walk you through the process, answer any questions, and make sure you’re comfortable from the start.
